The NFB Academie is a free, integrated arts and academic education program for third through eighth-grade boys and girls who demonstrate the potential to excel in dance. Auditions are held each year in May for the upcoming academic year.
NFB Academie is a comprehensive academic and artistic education program offered jointly by Northwest Florida Ballet and the Okaloosa County School District. The Academie opened in August of 2002 with an initial class of 30 third graders. Each year the students are selected by audition from the general population of children in the second and fifth grades. Please visit the Auditions page for additional information on the process.
Students selected for the program have concentrated instruction in ballet as a part of their overall academic and artistic education. Directed by Todd Eric Allen, Artistic Director & CEO of Northwest Florida Ballet, the NFB Academie faculty consists of well-qualified, certified academic teachers and ballet professionals.
Visit the Auditions page to learn more about the audition process.
