In 1996, former NFB student Todd Eric Allen returned to the area after a distinguished career with Louisville Ballet, Boston Ballet and Les Grands Ballet Canadiens, to accept the position of Artistic Director of the Company. Mr. Allen's talent, leadership skills, and his extensive performance experience have contributed greatly to the organization's continued growth and success. In August 2002, after a three-year fund raising campaign, NFB moved into its new home in downtown Fort Walton Beach, the Sybil Smith Lebhrz Center for Dance Education. This 13,000 sq. ft. facility provided much needed studio space, as well as room for costume and scenery building and storage. The new facility also allowed NFB to develop and begin and integrated arts and academic education program - the NFB Académie, a free public school.
The Northwest Florida Ballet is only as good as its valued staff, board members, volunteers, students, parents and community members.
